150,000 reduced price train tickets are available to buy this week as part of GWR's January sale.
Great Western Railway (GWR) operates services from London Paddington to the West Country, the Cotswolds and into Wales, reaching cities including Exeter, Bristol, Bath, Plymouth, Oxford and Cardiff. 100,000 standard class and 50,000 first class tickets are being sold at cheaper than the usual advance fare prices in the sale.
Example sale fares stated by GWR include London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads for £21, or first class advance single fares of £37 between London Paddington and Bath Spa. As is often the case with these things, there are limitations: the sale tickets are advance fares, meaning you'll need to travel on a specific train at a specific time or your ticket won't be valid.
The GWR January sale tickets will be available to buy here between 2 and 9 January 2025, for travel between 10 January and 13 April 2025. Limited numbers are available, so we'd recommend getting on the GWR website sharpish on 2 January.
