SAURUS: Brace yourself, because the biggest beasts that ever walked the Earth are stomping about 21st century Enfield. That's right, we're talking dinosaurs. In a stampede of stilts, metal, music, dance, and fire, Close Act theatre brings these prehistoric giants to life. Lets just hope they're herbivores. HOW TO CATCH A STAR: A puppet-based adaptation of Oliver Jeffers' beloved children's book, a little boy with his head in the clouds dreams of befriending a star. Let Irish theatre company Branar Téatar do Pháistí show your little ones the importance of following their dreams at this matinee performance. LORD FAIRFAX AND THE SECOND CIVIL WAR: Here's one for the military history buffs. Assess the role played by Thomas, Lord Fairfax in securing victory for parliament in the bloody siege of Colchester during the Second World War with the help of author and scholar Dr Andrew Hopper. B CREATIVE SUMMER FESTIVAL: See original theatre, dance, spoken word, music, and photography created by young female artists with a focus on power, strength, and what it means to be a women. Autograph ABP (Shoreditch), free, just turn up, 5pm-7pm, until 24 August

MERCERS, MAIDENS & MOZART: See a different side of Covent Garden on an amble through the historic district's lesser known streets and alleyways. TOKYO FUGUE: Prepare for the ride of your life at this physical theatre performance set in Tokyo's labyrinthine train system. Using bodies, chairs, a fugue and a collage of English and Japanese text, Tokyo Fugue conjures up a dizzying portrait of modern metropolitan life. VIVALDI BY CANDLELIGHT: An eclectic band of off-duty orchestral musicians gather in the beautiful nave of The Gresham Centre for a candlelit performance. Hear The London Novello Ensemble with Gavin Davies take on Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Mendelssohn's Octet. The Gresham Centre (City), £20, book ahead, 7.30pm-9.30pm

LIMPET SPACE RACE: Oxford musical duo Limpet Space Race climb aboard The Golden Hinde to headline a floating gig that melds folk, jazz, and pop.
