Anyone who thinks New Year's Eve is overrated clearly hasn't heard of the Natural History Museum's annual end-of-year bash.
This spectacular celebration is sure to exceed the expectations of even the most discerning revellers. It's got it all — an epic venue (one of London's most iconic cultural institutions will do us nicely), impeccable entertainment (bet your local doesn't offer ethical animal handling!), and that special something to elevate your night out from great to legendary (like, say, the chance to get your groove on beneath a 4.5 tonne whale skeleton).
No wonder the event has sold out three years running.

New Year’s Eve: Party at the Museum is more than just a chance to see out 2025 in serious style. It's also a rare opportunity to roam world-renowned galleries after dark and away from the daytime crowds — with a drink in hand if you fancy it. Hey, it is a special occasion, after all.
On the night, you'll have access to spaces such as Hintze Hall (home to Hope, the blue whale); the Mammal Gallery, where you'll find everything from pygmy shrews to polar bears; Earth Hall, which tells the tale of our planet and solar system; and the Dinosaur Gallery (let's be frank, this one speaks for itself!) Your ticket also includes entry to two special exhibitions: the always-popular Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Space: Could Life Exist Beyond Earth?

On top of all that, there's a silent disco, live music, a cash bar, and the chance to get up close to some incredible live animals, courtesy of ethical handling company ZooLab.
And if you want to make your night extra unforgettable, know that the Natural History Museum has VIP tickets available. These grant you access to a private bar and exclusive entertainment but — fair warning — availability is extremely limited, so you'll want to act fast to avoid disappointment.
In fact, considering that last year's event sold out completely, we recommend getting a move on. Then, all that's left to do is plan which glam-yet-whimsical outfit you're going to ring in 2026 in.

New Year’s Eve: Party at the Museum. 31 December 8pm-1.30am, at the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. Tickets on sale now.
