And just like that, we found ourselves far from Manhattan, in a familiar apartment but a whole new city.
London fans of Sex and the City can visit Carrie Bradshaw's famous apartment without leaving town, as a pop-up replica of her New York brownstone arrives in Covent Garden in December.
You're invited inside to drink cocktails, type at Carrie's laptop (start practising your wistful sighing and overstretched metaphors now...) and fawn over her walk-in closet.
Of course, it's a publicity stunt, tying in with both the release of the original series on Blu-Ray (available to buy at the on-site shop), and the arrival of And Just Like That, the sequel to the series which is released on NOW TV and Sky Comedy in December. Samantha's notably absent from the new series, but it follows Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda as they navigate life in their 50s.
HBO's The Sex and the City Apartment is on Floral Street in Covent Garden on 11-12 December 2021. Tickets ('free', but with a £5 booking fee... so, a fiver) need to be booked in advance. Sign up to the Warner Bros UK newsletter for pre-sale access, or they're on general sale at 2pm on Thursday 18 November.
