Fancy getting access to a view of the capital most Londoners will never see? Sign up for this charity event, and get up to the top of One Canada Square.

The Santa Stair Climb is a sponsored ascent up the 1,031 steps to the 48th floor of the Canary Wharf skyscraper. It's aid of food redistribution charity The Felix Project, and it's hoped the event could raise enough money to deliver some 825,000 meals to those experiencing hunger or food poverty in London.

You can sign up to take part in the climb on your own, as a team, or as part of an even larger group.

You'll be provided a green Santa hat and shirt to wear. Begin in the swish lobby of One Canada Square, where you'll be directed past the lifts and to the staircase, where your climb awaits. Support staff are located every few floors to offer encouragement.

It's not a race — everyone's welcome to take part at their own pace. And when you get to the top? You'll be handed a medal, much-needed water — and a chance to enjoy the views from the top of One Canada Square, which is normally off-limits to the public.

How do you get back down? By lift, thankfully.

The Santa Stair Climb takes place 8 December 2024 at One Canada Square, Canary Wharf. Registration is £30 with a fundraising target of £300.
