Rooftop Film Club Is Back For Another Summer Of High-Altitude Cinema

There's no surer sign of summer returning to London than the announcement of a new Rooftop Film Club season. Tickets are now on sale for the first screenings of 2017, taking place on top of Peckham's Bussey Building and at Roof East in Stratford.

Will you be dancing around east London's rooftops with Mary Poppins and Bert, or staying well away from the rooftop edge while getting stuck into Hitchcock's Vertigo?

Other venues, including Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch and Kensington Roof Gardens, will also be holding screenings later in the summer.

Heading up high on a date? Book yourself a Rooftop Love Seats ticket, and snuggle down on a seat for two, with prosecco and popcorn thrown in.

The full programme includes classics such as Trainspotting, The Big Lebowski, Dirty Dancing and Mary Poppins. Prefer something a little more modern? No problem — Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Zootropolis and Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them are all on the bill.

For those who like a little added drama, Moonlight and La La Land are both being shown at Roof East — why not watch both and decided for yourself whether the Oscar went to the right (wrong) film in the end?

Throw in cocktails, street food and fantastic skyline views, and it sounds like an impressive way to spend a summer evening in London.

Rooftop Film Club 2017 screenings begin on 4 May. Tickets, venue details and other information are available here. Tickets tend to sell out fast — you've been warned.
