It's National Dog Day on Monday, and Museum of London is raising the woof, with some canine-friendly activities.

Pooches are welcomed to the museum for the first time, and can take part in doga (dog yoga) workshops alongside their owners. Actually, it's humans that do most of the work at that one, but it'd be nice to see the downward dog living up to its name, for once.

Elsewhere, have a go at creating you own pet pawtrait at a Wild Life Drawing session. The class is led by an artist and all materials are provided, so your only worry is keeping your pet still for long enough to get your doodle done. Not the creative type? Professional photographer Rachel Oates is offering free shots of dogs in attendance on the day.

If walkies is guaranteed to get your dog's tail wagging, sign up for dog-walk the wall, a 40-minute guided walk along stretches of the City's Roman walls.

The events link to the museum's current Beasts of London experience, celebrating Londoners' relationships with the city's animals. It all takes place within a special dog-friendly area of the museum — Fido and Rover won't be allowed to roam the museum itself or visit the exhibitions, no matter how cultured they are.

National Dog Day at Museum of London is on 26 August 2019. Book ahead for individual events.
