Michelle Obama, author and former First Lady of the United States, comes to Southbank Centre in December for the only UK event promoting her new book.
Obama will be talking about her new memoir, Becoming, with novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in the Penguin Live event, Becoming: An Evening With Michelle Obama.
As you might expect, tickets don't come cheap for the 90-minute event — starting at £30 and reaching £125 — but they all include a hardback copy of the book. Becoming is the story of Michelle Obama's childhood on the South Side of Chicago, all the way up to her time living in the White House while husband Barack Obama was US President.
The event takes place in the 2,700 seater Royal Festival Hall,with 300 tickets for the event being donated to London secondary school students and local charities.
Becoming: An Evening With Michelle Obama is at Southbank Centre on 3 December 2018. Tickets are £30-£125 and will go on sale to Southbank Centre Members at 10am on Wednesday 7 November and to the general public at 10am on Thursday 8 November 2018.
