Ticket Alert: Dame Julie Andrews In Conversation At Southbank Centre

Tickets go on sale this week for a one-off chance to hear Dame Julie Andrews talk about her life and career.

The event celebrates the launch of Andrews' new book, Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years, and takes place at Royal Festival Hall.

The film star — best-known for roles in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music — chats to actor Alex Jennings about her 50-year career, from Broadway stints including My Fair Lady, to being cast in her first feature film role, Mary Poppins. She also covers her more recent work, including the Princess Diaries films.

After the talk, Andrews takes part in a Q&A session, answering some pre-sourced audience questions.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Tuesday 30 July to Southbank Centre members, and 10am on Wednesday 31 July to the general public.
