"Happee Birthdae Harry!"
31 July marks one of the most famous birthday in fiction, that of wizard extraordinaire Harry Potter.
And while September's Back to Hogwarts Days no longer seems to be a thing (not officially anyway), perhaps Harry's birthday will take the mantle.
On Thursday 31 July, Potterheads are invited to celebrate at a free event in Soho, where they can sign a birthday card for Harry (whether or not that gets mailed to Daniel Radcliffe, who knows), guess how many Hogwarts house colour jellybeans are in the jar, get faces painted in Harry Potter themes, scoff cupcakes (Golden Snitch, Sorting Hat, Harry Potter logo, Chocolate Frog), ogle costumes from West End show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child — and have the chance to win Potter prizes.
As you can imagine, tickets for Harry's birthday party will shift faster than a Golden Snitch, so although it's totally free, you'll need to bag a time slot between 10am-6pm. Booking opens at 11am on Thursday 17 July at this link.
