There's a new resident at the Natural History Museum

LONDON RIVIERA: If the weather's looking decent, get yourself down to City Hall for the London Riviera festival. Every evening there's different entertainment, including film and sport screenings, dance classes, and live music. Best of all, it's free. Just turn up, until 31 August

COLOURFUL MAZE: Artist Camille Walala has used her signature colourful, patterned designs to create a psychedelic maze that sounds part puzzle, part fun house, part Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole. SEE THE WHALE: South Kensington's new centrepiece has been unveiled. Head to the Natural History Museum to see Hope, the blue whale skeleton, suspended from the ceiling of the Hintze Hall. Decisive Moments by Colin O'Brien

Raise money for education in Malaysia by having a laugh

EDUCATING MALAYSIA: Do your good deed of the day by simply having a laugh. ABC is a comedy night in aid of girls' schools in Malaysia, featuring Josie Long, Phil Wang, Yuriko Kotani and MOON. The Necropolis Line: from battlefield to grave

Open Senses Festival

SIGHT UNSEEN: It's the last day of this unusual collaboration between Moorfields Eye Hospital, Open Senses, and national disability charity Sense has produced an intriguing showcase of the work of Marcus Inniss.
