It's nigh-on 50 years since David Bowie donned a loud turquoise Freddi Burretti jumpsuit, and posed — guitar slung over shoulder — in the lamplit doorway of 23 Heddon Street, for the photoshoot of his album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
Now, just a few doors down from the central London spot where Bowie stood, lovers of the Thin White Duke can sate their appetite with merch from a pop-up shop.
The Bowie 75 boutique sells limited edition releases of exclusive Bowie apparel and collectibles (including t shirts, jewellery and backpacks), plus limited run records from his back catalogue.

The shop — which is open daily until late January, so certainly won't be around for Five Years (arf) — also features a small gallery documenting the various ch-ch-ch-ch-changes of the rock chameleon; a handful of special appearances from figures including Bowie's old artist friend Geoff MacCormack; and the opportunity to get a snap in a replica of the phone box Bowie got all raunchy in, on the back of the 'Ziggy' album sleeve.

Of course, if Bowie posed for the same album cover now, there'd be a ruddy great Gordon Ramsay restaurant in the background. A sobering thought for us all.
