Comedian and actor Rowan Atkinson brings his new theatre show to the West End next spring.
Rowan Live combines nostalgia with new material written for this show; expect to see Atkinson bringing some of his most famous comedy sketches and iconic characters to life, alongside new work crafted with long-time collaborators Richard Curtis, Ben Elton and Howard Goodall.
Prior to a prolific TV career in shows including Mr Bean and Blackadder — both of which he co-created — as well as film series Johnny English, Atkinson's acting life began on stage at Oxford University Dramatic Society, where he met Curtis and Goodall.
Says Atkinson of the new show:
It is forty years since I last did a comedy sketch show in the West End, and I thought it would be fun to perform again the sketches that began it all for myself and Richard Curtis, and in which my most well-known characters originated; alongside some surprise new material written especially for this show.
Rowan Live is at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, 8 February-13 March 2027. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 7 October — sign up for priority booking from 9am (public booking from 12pm).
