Major tube line closures are planned for this Saturday (11 November).

If you're hoping to use the tube this weekend, know that TfL is closing the Circle, Jubilee, District, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines for large periods of Saturday, 11 November, in order to install a new signalling system. Some replacement buses will run.

Here's a quick rundown of what's happening:

  • Circle: The entire line is shut until 3pm. There's no replacement bus service.
  • District: The entire line is shut until 3pm. There's a replacement bus service.
  • Hammersmith and City: The entire line is shut until 3pm. There's a replacement bus service.
  • Jubilee: The line is shut until 3pm. A replacement bus service runs from Finchley Road to Wembley Park, and North Greenwich to Stratford.
  • Metropolitan: There's no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate until 3pm. Limited replacement buses will run.

That's not all the disruption this week; the entire DLR is closed on 7 and 8 November due to strikes — and various parts of the Overground won't run fully between 6 and 12 November. You can see a roundup of all the planned closures here.
