You're likely familiar with the Reflection Garden and its pebble-shaped pool — a mirror held to the sky, reflecting the dome of St Paul's in its placid waters.
But did you know that, directly above it, there's another garden — also designed by Tom Stuart-Smith — and it's got one heck of a view of Wren's masterpiece.

The tenants of 25 Cannon Street are lucky folk; this 5,400 sq ft private roof terrace — primly bordered with box hedge, wild daises and grasses — is theirs to enjoy on coffee and lunch breaks (a fair few meetings, and dare we say parties, must've taken place up here too). A few chairs are even angled towards the cathedral — not a bad place to sip your morning mocha/evening beer.

St Paul's might be the main event, but perched atop this office block, you can drink in a fair bit of London's skyline — the London Eye, the Shard, a sliver of Parliament's Victoria Tower — not to mention keep an eye on the neighbours' rooftop gardens (including Financial Times staff doing laps of the rooftop at Bracken House while they ponder the state of the pound).

"All well and good," you're probably thinking, "but why are you taunting me with this private roof garden?!". Well for one day a year — as part of London Open Gardens — 25 Cannon Street's rooftop garden opens up to everyone. Buy a ticket (which gets you into over 100 gardens across London on 7 and 8 June 2025), and on the Saturday, you can visit this rooftop oasis between 10am and 3.30pm.

Visit the rooftop garden at 25 Cannon Street on Saturday 7 June 2025, as part of London Open Gardens.
