You shouldn't always go on first impressions. Step into The Prince and you're greeted by a run-of-the-mill bar space; open, modern, keg-led... but nothing much to shout about. Step through the portal to the left of the bar, though, and you're transported to a realm unlike any pub room in London.

This is the pub's famous beer garden, or conservatory. It depends. This spacious area has a retractable roof, so it can be indoors or outdoors at the touch of a button, depending on the season. Either way, it's an attractive space, with mezzanine seating overlooking an epic lower bar that you'd never guess was there from the outside.

The dining facilities are also a bit unusual. The pub's own kitchen is supplemented by a couple of street food options, currently pizza and sushi, which operate from side rooms and have separate doors to the street.
The beer choice is a bit so-so, with keg-only options from mostly mainstream brands. Cocktail and wine drinkers will be more delighted. The light and vibe of the back room make it feel more like a summer-cocktail kind of place anyway.

As if all this were not enough, The Loft upstairs offers a dedicated sports bar, complete with pool table. This place has got everything... well, apart from cask beer.
