The circumstances surrounding Kamala Harris' visit to London this October might've been very different.
In an alternative reality, she would have been photographed standing outside 10 Downing Street with Keir Starmer, or heading to Buckingham Palace for tea with the King. As it is, when the former presidential nominee comes to the Royal Festival Hall on Thursday 23 October 2025, it'll be to plug her book, 107 Days — the title is a reference to the (some might say impossibly) truncated timeframe she had to battle against Donald Trump in the 2024 election. In case you're not one for news, it's a fight Harris ultimately lost.
The autobiographical book, which Harris has also had a pretty narrow timeframe to work on, promises "surprising and revealing insights [on] one of the wildest and most consequential presidential campaigns in American history". In the talk itself, the 49th Vice President promises to candidly "share what she saw, what she learned, and what it will take to move forward."
This is your only chance to catch her on this side of the Pond; the rest of the 17-date tour is in North America. If there's a Q&A, we can guess which name will pop up again and again.
A Conversation with Kamala Harris, Southbank Centre, Thursday 23 October, tickets go on general sale on Thursday 28 August, 12pm. In related news, Barack Obama is making an appearance at The O2 this September.
