Low budget airline Primera Air has announced a new flight route from Stansted to Washington DC.
The five-times-weekly flights — on the brand-new Airbus A321NEO — cost from £199 one-way.
Flights are direct to Washington Dulles; an airport that The Economist claims is less organised, and further away from the city centre than the more popular Washington-Reagan National Airport. Dulles also has a 4/10 rating on Skytrax. Perhaps, then, it's the perfect sister airport to Stansted.
Primera Air announced direct flights from Stansted to New York City earlier this year, although, as we reported back then, the Nordic airline has been on the end of some truly egregious reviews. Also: the cheapest flight prices quoted from London to Washington exclude cabin baggage.
If you're planning a stateside trip, perhaps don't rule out the bigger brand airlines outright.
