It is one of the beacons of north London — and soon you'll be able to scale the rooftop of Alexandra Palace.
When it launches in February 2026, Summit: Ally Pally Rooftop Adventure will be the highest roof walk in the UK — an opportunity to view London from 130 metres above sea level. The vistas from around the base of Ally Pally are spectacular enough, so from even higher up — 360-degrees, and stretching as far as 25 miles — they promise to be no less than spellbinding.
A short video released by Ally Pally shows a group of people, who clearly laugh in the face of heights, don climbing gear before ascending steep steps running up the side of a pitched roof, up to the lofty Angel of Plenty sculpture, for selfies. It seems that you don't get to clamber up Ally Pally's iconic broadcasting mast a la Doctor Who — which is probably for the best.
Daytime, sunset and 'London Lights' climbs are available, as well as various private, group and educational packages. Adult tickets start at £28. Note that there's a surcharge if you want to take your phone up there, thanks to some very unusual photography rules: "You can only take phones up in a Summit secure phone pouch, purchased pre visit or the day. Colours are subject to stock levels. Previous purchased pouches cannot be used. Cameras are not allowed."
This experience is the latest to offer the chance to (legally) scale a famous London landmark, others including the O2, Cutty Sark and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Summit: Ally Pally Rooftop Adventure opens Saturday 14 February 2026. Booking is open now.
