What do you bring for the Queen if you're coming over on a state visit? This isn't a dilemma we'll ever face, but many world leaders have. This exhibition brings together a whole host of gifts that Her Majesty has received, from a fossilised dinosaur bone to an honorary BAFTA for her support of the film and television industries.
It's all displayed within the fantastic interiors of the State Rooms, so for those who've never been, it's a double treat. It's also got answers for questions we never even gave a though to, such as what the Queen does when she's gifted a live animal. Answer: it usually gets placed in a local zoo.
This isn't the cheapest of exhibitions, but if you've never seen the stunning State Rooms before, then this show is an added bonus to a palatial visit.
The Buckingham Palace summer opening including Royal Gifts is on until 1 October. Tickets are £23 for adults, concessions available.
