Eight illuminated installations are unveiled at Westfield London in January for its inaugural light art event, Here We Glow.
Wander among the huge colourful bubbles of Evanescent, pictured above, which glisten in the daytime sunlight before glowing incandescent at night. Look out for The Anooki, two Inuit-inspired characters (below) designed by French artists David Passegand and Moetu Batlle, which have previously been displayed at the Fête des Lumières in Lyon and Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
Elsewhere, see the debut of Visible Light by artist Liz West, designed specifically for Westfield London's triangular roof. The 3D colour wheel is suspended overhead, transforming triangular prisms into a kaleidoscopic cascading spectrum.
Here We Glow is free to visit, and suitable for all ages. It's not the only light trail opening in London soon: Winter Lights, also free, returns to Canary Wharf in January, and Luxmuralis takes over St Paul's Cathedral in February.
Here We Glow is at Westfield London in Shepherd's Bush 23 January-2 March 2025. It's free to visit. See the website for further details, including where to find each installation.
