Calling all Ben & Jerry's fans — the ice cream wizards are bringing a quirky treat to London, for two weeks only.
Ice Ice Bagels are ice cream sandwiches, made of Ben & Jerry's ice cream sandwiched in a sweet bagel.
We'll be honest, we're not *completely* sold on the concept — nor on the company's suggestion that the dish is "perfect as breakfast" — but Ben & Jerry's haven't hit a duff note in 40 years in business (or if they have, we've been cramming our faces with too much Phish Food to notice).
The bagels, provided by Bross Bagels, come in two flavours; Birthday Bagel (a pink bagel filled with Birthday Cake flavoured ice cream, and topped with frosting, strawberry swirls, cake piece and sprinkles) and Holey Cara-moley (a sweet and salty pretzel bagel with Double Caramel Brownie ice cream, topped with salted caramel, chocolate brownie and gooey caramel sauce). We reckon we'll have to try one of each... you know, just to be sure.
If you're wondering where the link between bagels and ice cream comes from, Ben & Jerry's was actually almost a bagel company, intending to deliver cream cheese bagels to the New York Times office on a Sunday morning. The whole world is incredibly grateful they turned their attention to ice cream instead.
Ice Ice Bagels are available at the Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop at 74 Wardour Street, 24 August-9 September 2018.
