This London McDonald's Is Getting A VIP Makeover With Velvet Curtains And A String Quartet

A London branch of McDonald's is getting a fancy makeover next week, with velvet curtains, a string quartet and VIP table service.

The branch in Kensington (where else?) is transforming into a 'Signature' branch for one day only (Wednesday 15 August) as a publicity stunt to promote the chain's Signature Collection burgers. Diners will be served by butlers, and eat using diamond-encrusted cutlery (we'll stick to down-and-dirty, grease-running-down-your-fingers Big Macs, thanks).

Don't think you'll be swinging by on your way back to the bus stop after the pub though — tables need to be booked in advance. You'll need to fill in the form here by 3pm on Friday 10 August, and if you manage to bag a spot, McDonald's will be in touch to give you a timeslot.
