Instagram-famous pink cake shop Peggy Porschen is launching an afternoon tea.
Fans of the beloved bakery will soon be able to tuck into sandwiches, scones and cakes paired with hot drinks — or champagne, if you're feeling fancy — and we'd be willing to be that they'd be some of the prettiest cakes you ever did see.
But don't all stampede down to the Belgravia parlour, or even the newer bakery in Chelsea. Peggy Porschen has paired with fancy hotel The Lanesborough for this new venture.
Peggy Porschen Afternoon Tea will be served in The Lanesborough's Michelin starred restaurant, Céleste, a beautiful room with a domed glass roof — and plenty of natural light for those all-important Instagram photos. Just look:

It's an apt collaboration. Peggy Porschen's career began at The Lanesborough, where she worked as a pastry chef, after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu cookery school. This time, she's worked with The Lanesborough’s Head Pastry Chef Kevin Miller to create the menu.
Few details about the afternoon tea have been released yet (subscribe to the newsletter to be the first in the know), but we do know that the 'fairy tale pink aesthetics' that Peggy Porschen has become known for will feature heavily. Which leaves us with just one question — why has it taken this long for a Peggy Porschen afternoon tea to enter our lives?
Peggy Porschen afternoon tea is available 3 March-2 June 2020 at The Lanesborough Hotel, Hyde Park Corner. It costs £53 per person, of £72 with a glass of champagne, and bookings are open now.
