Eggslut Has Arrived In London... Will It Be Everything It's Cracked Up To Be?
Eggslut's bacon, egg and cheese creation

London's latest food trend is here... drum roll please... the bacon and egg bap! Hang on, what?!

Something that we've been shoving in our nosh holes since our inaugural teen hangover is suddenly being touted as the capital's must-scoff fad. No yoke.

Eggslut — which launched as a food truck in Los Angeles in 2013 and quickly shot to the empyrean echelons of eggy fame — has landed in Notting Hill. And if the hype machine is to be believed, people are cracking up over it.

It's scrambled egg, but get this... in a bun

As in its other global locations (mostly Los Angeles, also surprisingly Beirut in Lebanon), west London's Eggslut is serving up a signature menu of bready things oozing with eggy substances. Things like The Fairfax (scrambled eggs and cheese, served in a brioche bun) and The Slut (coddled egg and potato puree, served with baguette slices).

The Slut, as it's lovingly named

We're told that the we-are-not-worthy roster of celebs who've already sunk their pearly whites into Eggslut creations include Drew Barrymore, Seth Rogan and Elijah Wood.

But is this all just Hollywood hyperbole from smoothie-saturated folk who've never indulged in the forbidden fruits served from an old caravan at the side of the M6?

Still, it'd be rude not to go and see what the fuss is about. Someone pass the tequila...
