Rooftop Film Club Just Announced Its Summer 2019 Schedule

Summer of love is the theme of Rooftop Film Club's 2019 programme, which begins on 1 May.

The hugely popular outdoor film screenings are back at three London venues throughout the summer; the Bussey Building in Peckham, Shoreditch's Queen of Hoxton, and Roof East in Stratford.

Sticking with the recipe that's brought RFC success for several years now, the programme is a mixture of classic films, new releases and sing-along screenings.

Get your lungs ready to harmonise with Bohemian Rhapsody and Grease, watch classics such as Dirty Dancing, Clueless, Back To The Future and Bridget Jones, or see the more recent films that you may have missed in the cinema — think A Star Is Born, The Greatest Showman and Coco.

All screenings take place on rooftops (for views alone, Bussey Building is our fave venue), with deckchair seating, and cordless headphones provided.

Ice cream brand extrême is sponsoring this year's events, so obviously, there's plenty of ice cream involved. Look out for tasting events throughout the programme. Otherwise, Rockadollar serves up hot dogs and burgers in Peckham, Queen of Hoxton has food covered in the form of Mexican treats, and Roof East is home to Roof Eats (see what they did there?), a selection of street food stalls.

The theme may be 'summer of love', but you needn't be coupled up to enjoy the screenings. Romance, bromance and womance are all celebrated. All YOU need to bring is a love of film.

For dedicated movie buffs, Rooftop Film Club now offers membership packages, offering free tickets, and discounts on further tickets and snacks.

Rooftop Film Club's summer 2019 programme begins on 1 May, with May tickets on sale now. Tickets for screenings in June and beyond will be released at a later date.
