Londonist asks someone some random questions. This time it's the king of the one liner, and Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo star, Milton Jones. Milton tours his show Ha!Milton around the UK from 24 April, including London's Bloomsbury Theatre on 4 July 2025.
You were born in Kew — does that mean you're good at gardening?
I certainly have green fingers, but that’s something else – nothing to do with gardening! Also every Christmas Morning I'd always mow the lawn, then we’d sit down to a big dinner and all the trimmings!
Favourite London street name?
Old Kent Road, but my offer of £60 was rejected.
Has anyone turned up at Ha!Milton thinking they were going to see Hamilton?
Definitely not. But I imagine a lot of people have attended the highly successful musical about the founding fathers of America hoping to see Milton Jones!
What's your best one-liner about London?
There's going to be another giant wheel down by the Thames dedicated to Mary Poppins called the London Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-Eye!
And your worst one-liner about London?
I played giant Monopoly the other day, but it turned out to be London.
