Is This The Best Named Passageway In London?

With all the hubbub of Regent Street — the buses, the tourists, the shop windows — it's easy to just focus on where you're going and ignore what's going on around you. But look up at the southern end of the street and you'll see one of London's best named passageways.

Man In Moon Passage is a short, pedestrianised alleyway which connects Regent Street with Vine Street, which in turn joins up with Swallow Street, home to Gaucho, and Bentley's Oyster Bar.

But how did the thoroughfare get its name? It most likely comes from the name or sign of an inn that used to sit on the site. Nothing lunar-tic about that.
