The Negroni Is 100 Years Old. Celebrate With A Private Negroni Fountain

The negroni is 100 years old. Why not celebrate its birthday with a private negroni fountain.

That's right: although the bitter-sweet concoction smacks of getting squiffy in a Peckham car park, the recipe was actually invented in 1919, at Florence's Caffè Casoni.

To mark this auspicious occasion, The Trading House in the City has set up self-pouring negroni fountains. From the bull's head (mimicking the fountains of Turin, birthplace of Martini) gushes forth the aromatic elixir, strong enough to make you believe you're Italian for an hour or two.

Negroni Nights runs from 1-15 April 2019 at The Trading House, Gresham Street. Tickets £25 pp, which includes two cocktails per person and aperitivo board. Available to book for between 4-10 people. Call 020 7600 5050.
