They're taking the hobbits to... Isleworth?
Dan Bell creates gorgeous hand-drawn maps, in the style of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth maps. Here's the wonderful one he created for London, resplendent with triple umlauts and randomly uncapitalised hs.
We asked Dan about the most Tolkien-esque place he knows in contemporary London. He responded with popular pub The Grapes in Limehouse. The pub is partially owned by Sir Ian McKellen, who famously portrayed Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings. According to Dan, the aged pub has a Tolkien vibe about it. And Gandalf's staff sits behind the bar.
