Thames Lens Winner: Dare you! by Cairis Grant-Hickey

The winners of the Thames Lens Photography award have been announced. Photographers were asked to take pictures that captured the vibrancy of the  capital's river. Above is the winner of the overall competition, Dare you! by Cairis Grant-Hickey.

It was taken in Woolwich, and the capturing of urban decay truly makes it stand out from the crowd.

Take a look at some of the runners-up and winners of different individual awards below. They all manage to show off a different facet of the Thames.

Thames Lens Runner-up: The Tour Bus by Peter Murrell

Each photo focuses on different parts of the Thames instead of just the obvious tourist-magnet locations.

Port of London Authority Winner: Paddles Ahoy! by John Clare
London Photo Festival Highly Commended: Buble Fun II by Britta Baumann

The award is run between the Thames Festival Trust, Port of London Authority and the London Photo Festival.
