Londonist is proud media partner to Totally Thames, the annual festival that sees dozens of events line the 42-mile London stretch of the river, bringing art, music and all sorts of river-related happenings to our watery doorstep.

We’re particularly excited by the premiere Bascule Chamber Concert — the first public event to take place INSIDE the bascule chambers at Tower Bridge. The remarkable chambers will transform into a giant musical instrument as attendees listen to a composition based on sound recordings taken from inside the space.

There are also opportunities to get out into the water — from kayaking and boat trips at Tidefest to wild swimming and paddle boarding. Mudlarking on the foreshore and an open day at Tower Beach will suit river-lovers wanting to get stuck into the shores, while riverside concerts, dining offers and art performances will appeal to those who prefer to stay dry (although not necessarily that kind of dry — a late night tryst at Chelsea Psychic Garden will house its own gin bar).
