Leave Your Story In This London Phone Box
Your story could end up in this phone book.

Obsolete in modern society, telephone boxes risk becoming a forgotten British icon.

But now, a new artistic project aims to put them back in the limelight.

A Penny For Your Thoughts is based inside a red K2 telephone box, outside 24-26 Bedford Row in Bloomsbury. The project, by artist Dawn Cole, invites people to leave their stories about/memories of phone boxes and phones inside a reproduction 1930s telephone book.

Artists will respond to some of the anecdotes over the coming months, and all stories will be transcribed and uploaded online. At the end of the project, the nostalgic phone book will become part of the BT phone directory archive.

If you can't make it to the phone box in person, you can still share your story on the Facebook page. There are already some great stories up there, including tales of mystery phones ringing in the night, and prank Frank Spencer calls.
