Is It Possible To See All Of London's Art In One Day?

Filmmaker Alex Gorosh was challenged by the Art Fund to see as much art as he possibly could across London's galleries and museums in one day. This video is the result.

Covering the two Tates, The British Museum, The Courtauld Gallery, The Cartoon Museum and many more, he rushes around London using black cabs, cycle hire and of course the Underground, before running out of time and being given special access to The National Gallery after hours.

Gorosh's over-exaggerated narrative style is at times grating, and the video is designed to plug the National Art Pass. But the video does show us how much art we have at our doorstep.

As the stats show he walked 22 miles and took in 140,000 works of art across 13 museums. And yet he only saw less than 1% of the 20 million plus works of art held across our 92 galleries and museums.

It's easy to forget that there is so much art and culture in London. This madcap video serves as a reminder of this fact. In this film he's rushing past everything while if we were to give each work the time it deserves we'd probably still be going a year later.
