Where Better To Watch Gladiator Than An Actual Roman Amphitheatre?

Gladiator action is coming to the City this summer, with the 2000 film Gladiator screened in an actual Roman amphitheatre.

Pop Up Screens brings Russell Crowe and co to Guildhall Yard, which is on the site of a Roman amphitheatre (and has the ruins beneath it). Ticket holders can visit the remains of the amphitheatre as part of the experience, as well as watching the action on the big screen.

Gladiator's not the only film coming to the City: Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Deadpool are among those on the schedule at Guildhall Yard.

Ravenscourt Park in Hammersmith, Bishop's Park in Fulham and Greenwich Peninsula Central Park also host screenings throughout the summer, with a veritable smorgasbord of classic films from Back to the Future to Grease on offer.

For full dates, price and booking information for Pop Up Screens summer schedule, see the website.
