Garfield's dreams have finally come true — a lasagna restaurant opens today in Soho.

The dream of a man called Alessandro Limone, the restaurant will serve a whopping 21 variations on the classic pasta dish. There will be a four cheese lasagna, smoked salmon lasagna and a truffle lasagne. There will, of course, also be a classic lasagna with Bolognese sauce and an intriguing meatball variation.

Alessandro apparently started the restaurant as he wanted to serve lasagna just like his mother used to make.

The restaurant will be open all day, serving pastries and coffee in the morning, but come lunch and dinner, it’s lasagna or nothing… until dessert. Puds will include tiramisu, fruit tart, and white chocolate soufflé.

The restaurant will seat 40 but if you can’t get a seat then don’t worry, lasagne will be available to take away. Phew.

Mister Lasagna opens on 20 April at 53 Rupert Street, W1D 7PG. Follow them on Twitter @misterlasagna
