Deep Fried Creme Egg ‘Burgers’ Are Coming To London This Easter
The deep fried Creme Egg Franken-burger.

Last year we encountered our first deep-fried crème egg, and early 2016 saw the arrival of the crème egg sandwich. Now, the two have been combined to make a deep fried crème egg 'burger'.

The sandwich will go on the menu at the K West Hotel & Spa in Shepherd's Bush, which had a hit last year with the crème egg burger, but wanted to take things one step further.

This time, the egg comes battered and fried.

A set of mini 'sliders' will be made from sweet brioche bread dipped in white chocolate and covered with raspberry sprinkles. Then comes the crème egg, followed by mascarpone cream and strawberry jelly.

The sliders are available from 20 March priced at £5.50 for two, and also as part of the Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea menu (£24.50 pp).

We’re wondering how they’ll top this next year. Add Flake chips, perhaps? This is probably one to keep secret from your cardiologist, or your dentist.

In fact, maybe don’t tell anyone.
