Video: London's Lost Railways - West Drayton To Uxbridge Vine Street

Did you know that Uxbridge has had four stations in its history? Here we look at the two-mile branch line between West Drayton and what was called Uxbridge Vine Street.

I vaguely remember some of the cuttings and route of the track through Cowley. I also remember trains on the side of the canal where the Packet Boat Marina is now. I don't think that was a passenger railway, probably used for the landfill there at the time. Although, that is a guess. There is an Iron bridge on the Slough branch of the canal about half a mile from the marina which I remember being told was a railway bridge in the past although its very narrow and I'm not sure where the track led to.

If anyone knows I'd love to find out.
