TRAFALGAR SQUARE WALK: Meet outside Charing Cross station for A Trafalgar Square Travesty tour. This lighthearted walk will test how well you know one of the world's most famous squares, with all proceeds going to The Connection, a charity which supports homeless people. £7/£9, prebook, 2.30pm

KIDS' CHRISTMAS CRAFTS: Take children along to Little Marshans craft class near Waterloo where they'll learn how to make pompoms and other yarn-based crafts. Free, just turn up, 3.30pm-5.30pm

FREE WHISKY MASTERCLASS: Warm your cockles with free tastings at The Whisky Shop in Piccadilly. Fans of the spirit can try the £200 Johnny Walker Blue Label, and King George, which will set you back a whopping £800 (should you buy the bottle). Free, just turn up, 5pm-7pm

FOLK MUSIC: Folk lovers will be interested in Rosie Hood's special performance at Cecil Sharp House, which marks the end of her year-long BBC Performing Arts Fellowship. She'll be joined on stage by other quality artists. £10, prebook, 7pm

LITERARY NIGHT: For those in search of some literary fun head to The Finborough Arms for Scriggler Live featuring writers Anna Beecher and James Bunting plus live music from London's MRI. £7+bf, prebook, 7pm

INTERACTIVE GAME SHOW: Liven up your Thursday evening at Theatre Delicatessen where production company Are You Game? is entertaining audiences with a blend of cabaret and interactive theatre. Good cause of the day

Victoria Park Singers, a 100 strong community choir will be belting out christmas tunes to raise funds for Bow and Hackney food banks at St John at Hackney Church in Hackney. They will be mixing things up with a jazzy Jamaican number and a Dutch carol alongside the more traditional Christmas tunes. £8/£10 or £10/£12 on the door, prebook, 7.30pm
