PHOTOGRAPHY:
A new, stunning exhibition featuring signed prints by the French master of photography Henri Cartier-Bresson is at The Fine Art Society. It gives you the opportunity to own signed prints of both rare and iconic works by one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century. 6-29 October

One of a series of interesting walks, Kings, Soldiers and Beer starts from the piazza in front of Westminster Cathedral at lunchtime led by Westminster Guide Joanna Moncrieff. £5, prebook, 1.10pm.

CHRISTIES'S LATES, OLD AND NEW:
Exploring all things old and new, an evening dedicated to the arts of collecting and restoration. The evening will include special guest speakers and an Antiques Challenge — spot the difference between original antiques and copies and cast your vote for a chance to win a prize. A HISTORY OF SCOTTISH DRINKS:

KNIT WORKSHOP:
Needlepoint mavericks I Make Knots are showing you how to make a super soft chunky merino wool Jelly Snood in a variety of stitches. No experience or equipment is needed — just enthusiasm and a positive attitude. It's all good in the snood. £35, 7pm

SOME LIKE IT THEA-SKOT:
Still vibing from her sell-out run at Edinburgh Fringe, Alison Thea-Skot brings her five-star show to London. Often silly, occasionally absurd and always funny, her characters are crazy, her impressions uncanny and her comedy infused with a joyfulness that’s contagious. £10, 7pm

AFRICAN DRUMMING:
This African Drumming Workshop held at The Kirtland Centre in Mile End is suitable for beginners and experts alike, going over some basic techniques and rhythms of African drumming. Plus tea and biscuits are included. £10, 7.15pm

MUSIC:
Four of London's top buskers — Ste Forshaw, Emily Lee, Lewis Fieldhouse and Charlotte Campbell — will be playing separate sets this evening, onstage with a roof at The Bedroom Bar in Shoreditch. Check out Charlotte live here. Brilliant street entertainers coming in from the cold. Free, 8pm-1am

CIDER AND CHEESE:

There is nothing quite like cider and cheese. Six different ciders will be paired with six different cheeses by north London cider expert, Jess Marsh, aided by beer writer and judge, Christine Cryne, who will talk about the cheeses. Good cause of the day

This Cancer Research UK public science event is a great chance for people to find out about CRUK’s Grand Challenge (before properly launched!). Hear about the exciting work of their Imperial scientists and share their opinion on how the public could be engaged with the Grand Challenge in the future.

There will be three speakers attending, who will be doing short TED style talks on their work and what their Grand Challenge would be. The Durrell Arms (704 Fulham Rd), free tickets through Eventbrite, 7pm.
