You know, this is — excuse us — a damn fine opportunity for David Lynch fanatics. The 25th Twin Peaks UK Festival is coming to Whitechapel's Genesis Cinema on 3-4 October, offering the chance to rub shoulders with cast members including Dana Ashbrook (who played the despicable Bobby), Sheryl Lee (the ill-fated Laura Palmer), and Julee Cruise, famous for purring her way through that eerie earworm of a theme tune, Falling.

Actors from the mind-bruising 1990s series will be doing much more than signing coffee mugs; Sheryl Lee will read excerpts from The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (accompanying a screening of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me), while Julee Cruise will do an intimate performance of music from Twin Peaks. You'll also get to relive the murder of Laura Palmer, courtesy of the Double R Club, because who doesn't love to relive a murder.

Branching out into other perverse universes created by Lynch, there's a screening of Blue Velvet with deleted scenes, and a Mulholland Drive Jitterbug Class.

It wouldn't be a Twin Peaks festival without mountains of cherry pie and doughnuts, and there's also official David Lynch coffee (really), which we recommend you take black as midnight on a moonless night.

And now the not so good news. Tickets are selling faster than hot cherry pies. One day passes have already gone, as have the Cooper VIP tickets. That leaves only Truman's Deputies weekend tickets. At £180 a pop, you'll have to be a big Twin Peaks fan.

We'll leave you with this.

Twin Peaks UK Festival takes place 3-4 October at Genesis Cinema, 93-95 Mile End Rd, E1 4UJ. Weekend tickets £180.
