Ten fire engines and over 70 firefighters today tackled a major blaze on Hackney Road.

The fire appeared to be centred on the building behind Boba Yard bubble tea and Second Tread where Hackney Road meets Yorkton Street. LBC reported that one man has been taken to hospital with burns and suffering from smoke inhalation.

Update 2.20pm: Although the blaze looked ferocious, it appears that firefighters now have it under control.
