Rejoice London’s coeliacs and wheat wary — a street food festival where absolutely everything is gluten-free is coming to town.
Camden Market will host the festival — the first of its kind in London — this weekend, serving more than 15 different gluten-free offerings throughout Saturday and Sunday near the Lock.
We recently ran a feature on London’s best gluten-free street food which showed just how many coeliac-friendly options are out there at many markets around town, but the opportunity to find so many of them in one place is still pretty special.
The line-up includes gluten-free fish and chips from Olley’s; Louisiana Chilli Shack, serving its signature cowboy cottage pie; Indian food from Sonita’s Kitchen; and sweet and savoury treats from Islington-based Romeo’s Gluten-Free Bakery. There will also be raw, vegan and gluten-free bakes from Cupcakes n Shhht and paleo-friendly food from Feed Me Primal ensuring wider dietary requirements are catered for.
There will also be gluten-free cookery demos from Whole Foods Market on the hour, every hour between midday and 4pm.
The Gluten-Free Street Food Festival will run from 10am-6pm on Saturday (16 May) and Sunday (17 May) in Camden Market’s Middle Yard, NW1 8AF.
