Digital City Late At Museum Of London

For one night only, the Museum Of London will be taken over by digital artists and experts — and Londonist is one of them.

The Digital City late explores how Londoners see the city through digital eyes, and celebrates London's growing tech industry. The usual tourist hubbub will die down for this adults-only event, with the chance to explore the museum by twilight, have a drink at the bar and take part in the interactive activities on offer.

Londonist will be asking museum-goers to trace their journey to London Wall on an old-school paper map using whatever they want — lines, pictures, symbols, words, stickers etc — and their creative flair. We'll then turn the material map into a digital one and share the composite picture on Londonist the next day.

Pop headphones on and groove to the silent disco, try your hand at animation techniques and bring objects from the city's past to life, create a pixelated image of a London view and try summing up London in 140 characters or fewer. There's loads on, including comedy, music, talks, dancing, installations and more. Come with your devices charged!

Late London: Digital City takes place at the Museum of London on Thursday 15 May, 7pm-10pm. Tickets are £7/£5.

The event is part of Culture24's Museums at Night festival, which sees venues hosting after hours events from 15-17 May.
