Buses, Books And Bar Snacks At London Transport Museum

The 'Year of the Bus' gets off to a promising start at London Transport Museum, with a season of events that all sound promising. First up, catch bus supremo Leon Daniels in conversation with Robert Elms about the challenges of running the country's biggest bus network (4 February, £10).

A Friday Late on Valentine's Day lets you explore the museum with a glass of wine, and an early look at the Serco Prize for Illustration, which is this year themed on London Stories (14 February, £10).

Three of our favourite London authors gather in March to discuss their books: Travis Elborough (A London Year; London Bridge in America; The Bus We Loved), Hannah Velten (Beastly London, which was Londonist's book of the year 2013) and Mark Mason (Walk The Lines). (3 March, £10)

Finally, there's another chance to visit the Museum's Acton Depot, with a special exhibition of buses (15-16 March, £10).

The museum's events have a wonderful yet potentially frustrating tendency to get fully booked, so get your tickets ASAP.
