Sausages are funny. This is a well-established fact; they’re floppy, phallic and subject to more than just the occasional double entendre. But a sausage shop as a comedy venue… a German sausage shop at that?
A number of the nation’s most up-and-coming comedians are set to take to the stage in this unusual venue as they begins a series of Work in Progress shows at Herman ze German sausage shop on Old Compton Street, W1. Comedians taking part include Alan Carr, Josh Widdicombe, Seann Walsh, Simon Evans, Paul Chowdhry, Romesh Ranganathan and Angela Barnes.
Hosted by Laughing Boy comedy club, the shows will take place during November and December with only 65 lucky punters allowed in each time. Despite the strange surroundings, it’s not the wurst place they could be doing a gig… *silence* and hopefully they won’t get butchered by the crowd…*silence*
We’ll get our coats.
