Photographers! We want you to join us on a tour round some of the most eye-catching events on the final day of Thames Festival.
Not only do we want a bunch of photos to publish on Londonist capturing the spirit of the revamped festival that we're digital media partner to, but we also want to raise awareness of the festival's annual Thames Lens photo competition.
The competition asks for photo submissions under three categories: River of Life, River City and Festival River. The latter is the one we'll focus on for this photo walk but the 10-day Thames Festival programme provides boatloads of photogenic opportunities. Outwith the festival, photos of the river, or of the city shot from the river, are also warmly encouraged.
If you want to join Londonist Lindsey on the photo walk on Sunday 15 September RSVP on Facebook and we'll arrange to meet up. Otherwise, you can try and track us down on the day at the following spots:
11.30am, Classic Boat Festival at St Katharine Docks
12.15pm Watch the Dave Pope Challenge Barge Race from Tower Bridge
1pm The Scoop, More London for the mass sing: Kids' Choir - Voyages of Discovery
2pm Blue Ribbon Village in Potters Fields Park
2.30pm Watch Steve Faldo Memorial Barge Race from Tower Bridge
3.30pm Explore the rarely accessible Tower Beach with Thames21
Whether you come with us or not, please tag your photos of Thames Festival #ThamesLens and share on Twitter or Facebook so others can share in the fun. To enter the Thames Lens photo competition visit: thamesfestival.org/thameslens
