IWM: In case you missed it, the Imperial War Museum in London has partially reopened after major building redevelopment. Some excellent exhibitions are now available to visit, including artists' responses to warfare with The Architecture of War, a video installation by Omer Fast, and the interactive family exhibition, Horrible Histories. BFI: A BFI series celebrating the acting of Patrick McGoohan continues at BFI Southbank tonight with screenings of Armchair Theatre and Rendezvous, while the 1947 film Brighton Rock also screens as part of the BFI's Boulting Brothers series. See sites for full details.

SILENCE: An intriguing film relating to sound, Silence follows the journey of Eoghan, a sound recordist who returns to Ireland for a job capturing sound in areas free from man-made noises. At the Institute of Contemporary Arts. £10/£8, prebook, 6.30pm

Good Cause of the Day

Oxjam Shoreditch hosts a speed dating event at The Book Club in Shoreditch tonight, where attendees can join the quest for love by judging strangers, drinking cocktails and raising money for Oxfam.
