Kings Place Festival: From Jazz To Canal Trips

The shimmery facade of Kings Place, by M@.

The word 'eclectic' is over-used. (Indeed, observing that the word 'eclectic' is overused, is itself overused.) But how else to describe the Kings Place Festival, taking place 13-15 September in that plush events venue that The Guardian sits on top of.

We could use this sentence to list out the many different performing arts on offer, but who wants to read lists? Lets just say it covers all bases from sketch comedy through to high-brow classical music, via men dressed as bears and wizards.

If watching other people perform isn't your cuppa, the festival also has plenty of hands-on activities, such as wine tasting, chocolate tasting, beer tasting, a silent disco, art workshops for kids, cake decorating and several chances to putt-putt-putt through the Islington canal tunnel on a narrow boat. And, damn, we just wrote a list.

More than 100 events in all, and each for just £4.50. Get browsing and booking now, as some events have already sold out.

Kings Place Festival, Kings Place, 90 York Way, King's Cross, N1 9AG, 13-15 September 2013.
