DATA MAPPING: James Cheshire of UCL's Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (basically, the academic unit that pumps out all those clever data maps of London) speaks at St Bride Foundation about his work mapping tweets, bikes, surnames and more. £15, prebook, 7pm

HOW TO THINK: Rolf Dobelli points out how cognitive biases often lead us to make poor judgments, and offers some tips on spotting our biases and avoiding them. It's on at LSE tonight. Free, just turn up, 6.30pm

TRANSPORT: London Transport Museum's Acton Depot is open all weekend for visitors to explore exhibits not normally on show at the main museum. You can also catch a restored underground steam engine and carriage, celebrating the network's 150th anniversary. £10, prebook or turn up, 11am-5pm
